Baha Burgers

3439 Colonnade Parkway, just off U.S. 280 near I-459.
969-7998
Susan Swagler's September 2007 review in City Scene called it "the busy-mom jackpot," "a casual and fun, family-friendly restaurant that is both inventive and inexpensive." The surfer-themed burger joint is owned by the husband-and-wife owners of Taziki's. Classic beef burgers and a variety of gourmet burgers: a lamb burger with taziki sauce, an herbed salmon croquette burger with remoulade, a turkey burger with Alecia's peach chutney and blue cheese, a vegetarian "burger" made with a grilled portobello mushroom. Indoor and outdoor dining, lunch and dinner, wine and beer available.

Where can I see the menu? I checked out BajaBurgers.com, where every burger place BUT Baja Burgers is listed. I'm ready to drool!

Great burger. Unique offerings and a good value. The day we went, the staff were closing up like an hour before the posted time, even turning people away. Couldnt believe it.

Id go back for a good burger, and you can sit outside.

I really love this place. I havnt branched out beyond the aungus burger, but never had grilled golden pineapple on a burger before this, and WOW. I also love the little crispy bits of friend okra included in the sweet potato fries. They are quite busy, especially at the noon hour, so don't rush by.

This place has absolutely delicious food. Everything I have eaten at Baja has been good, but the Angus Burger is still my fave.

We went to the Baha Burger in Hoover. Faxed the order in, when we got there to pick it up, nobody wanted to help us. Finally when we got someones attention to let them know that we were standing at the counter, they said they would bring our order to us. We waited and waited. Finally, had to go back up there and they had left it sitting on the counter. BAD SERVICE!!! They had left one order off. Once, we got our order, got back to work and then was able to finally eat, OMG!! Thought we would be gettin a great burger for $ 7.50. Turned out to be NOT SO GOOD. Will never go back there again.

Cool place to get a quick meal. The salmon burger is my favorite but all are good. You must get the sweet potato fries. They are delicious and the bits of fried okra are a nice touch.

The portobello mushroom and eggplant "burger" and the sweet potato fries get the gold medal!

2 locations...2 experiences.

We have been going to the Colinade location for a couple years. Really good burgers, good services and we have never had a burger made wrong.

We went to the new location off of 31. Poor service, more expensive when ordering the exact same meal as we would have at the other location, messed up the order...TWICE. Then to make it up to ourselves we order Key Lie Pie. TERRIBLE. How can you get one at one locaton and love it, then go to another location and its terrible?

Do yourself a favor...go to the colonade location and never...ever waste your time with the new location on 31.

1 customer... 1 experience... Baja in Hoover is awesome! The food was off the chain! The cashier was a little distracted, but it was a GREAT visit! I had the Salmon burger and I could NOT put it down! The onion rings are also Incredible! I couldn't believe how good they were! For dessert my husband had the keylime pie, and I had a shake! They were both AWESOME! We will definately be back!
