This restaurant is top notch. . the best Mexican good in Birmingham! It is not often that you find quality, value, service, and atmosphere all rolled into one, but Cocina Superior accomplishes the feat. I have been on several occasions and each time service has been impeccable. I have no complaints!

No complaints from me either! This is a great restaurant that still believes in good service with good food! Each time I visit, I am more and more impressed. They are truly, "concina superior." And it is no wonder, they are connected to Superior Grill on 280, which is or at least the last time I checked was based in New Orleans, the mecca of great food in the nations south.

I like Mexican and beers and girls. The other night I hit the triple crown, ate enchiladas, drank Coronas, and talked to some ladies that work at the nearby Victoria's Secret. Very nice!

Love this trendy place - it's a place for good food, drinks and to people watch! Their beef chimichangas are to die for, it's like they melt in your mouth!

Compared to other area TexMex restaurants this establishment is pricy. Service was excellent...but, could have had comparable quality food at several other restaurants at half the price. Not my favorite. The manager on duty that day was also rude. But thats his problem.

Overpriced chain food. Nothing remotely Mexican about this place.

Quite overpriced. Once nice atmosphere is neglected and is in need of re-fresh. Staff members range from indifferent to rude. During today's visit there was a fly in the water. On a previous visit there was, astonishingly, a rubber band in my salsa. Really disgusting. Tried to speak to the manager who did NOT care one iota. I will now avoid this once enjoyable restaurant.

Went here for a relaxing meal one night. Was anything BUT relaxing. The food was great (I have no complaints here). But the hostess sat our family of four between two LARGE parties on the covered patio. As the covered patio has NO acoustic buffers, and is made entirely of concrete and metal, it was extremely loud. We had to yell at each other to be heard. Also, our table had the corner jammed into a wall and the side the waitress put my menu on was so cramped that I had to move the table to get in and so that my elbow wouldn't hit the wall every time I ate a bite. Our waitress stood there and watched me move the table and offered no help whatsoever. We had to wait a long time for our food while our waitress stood talking to the other waitstaff. I HEARD another waiter tell her that our food was up and she told him to "give her a minute," then finished her gossipy conversation before she went to get our food. She made it obvious she did not want to be there. We looked for a manager to complain to, but he/she was nowhere to be found. The food was great (albeit overpriced), but we will not go back. We'll just drive out to Chuy's, where the waitstaff actually wait on you.
