5891 Trussville Crossing Parkway, 833-5555 (New location as of August 2007, replacing Roebuck store)
Italian and Greek food, casual family atmosphere. Italian classics like lasagna, eggplant parmigiana and chicken marsala share the menu with Greek specialties such as Mousaka, Pastichio, and Greek chicken, and Middle Eastern style kabobs and gyros. Their gyros get raves.

Excellent lasagna. I've had it in store and picked it up in a family size pan. The salad is hit or miss as far as freshness of the lettuce. I have had one of the worst glasses of Shiraz ever. Love the lasagna though! Big portions.

Had my birthday dinner at Costas and all 14 of us were thrilled with our meals! Service was good. Food was excellent - each item would have easily fed 2-3 people, but we all wanted our own so that we could take it home for leftovers! The atmosphere isn't pristene, but once you start eating, nothing else matters! Believe it or not, the lemon chicken soup is divine.

Very bad experience with a pick-up order on 8.26.08. I ordered a family size portion rather than a single order portion of the baked greek chicken and specifically asked before placing the order for a description of the entree. I was very surprised when I got home and found my order not as described. I called and spoke with a woman on the phone -- she basically couldn't be bothered and exclaimed "Jesus" when I told her I thought my order was wrong -- that I had received chicken for one. I found this comment not only to be unprofessional but also offensive to use the Lord's name in vain. I then asked to speak with the manager and Joe came to the phone. He said I had been misquoted on the phone and that his employees were human and she had made a mistake. Although I could appreciate his employee had made a mistake, I pointed out that it was his obligation to make it right. After all, I had specifically requested information about the entree when I placed the order (portion descriptions are not identified as it is simply listed as "for 2" and "for 4". He said no. He then told me it wasn't worth his time to discuss it further on the telephone and if I wanted to bring the order back he would give me a refund -- I didn't want to do that as I would not have food for dinner and would be driving back to the restaurant to interact with a rude manager. I asked if I could speak to the owner and Joe said he was the owner. I knew Costa's had changed ownership in the past year or so, but I was very taken aback by the experience.
So just be aware that the owner doesn't care if your order is right or not -- his attitude is simply tough luck. Buyer beware.

My wife and I have eaten there a couple of times. The food was ok. The last time we ate there my wife noticed how dirty the place was. The plastic flowers and the trim rail around the dining room were filthy.
I shudder to think what the kitchen area looks like. We won't be back!

VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE ON 11/20/08. We placed an order (well in advance) with Costa's for a luncheon at work. Ironically, another dept placed an order for the same day and ordered the EXACT same thing (4 pans of lasagna and 3 pans of spaghetti). We went to check with the other dept and they had their order correct so we called. Not only did they short us a pan of lasagna, Joe (owner/manager) was EXTREMELY rude when we called to inform him of the mistake. He actually told us "You people have what you ordered you probably cut it wrong!" He kept cutting us off. His final say was "Even though I know you people were delivered the right amount of food, I'll give you another pan so I wont have to deal with this but you need to come and get it." This, however was after 3 phone calls. We had already paid a delivery fee of $25 so we didnt bother to drive 15 mins. Instead, we had to make do with what we had. We had an order totalling nearly $300. Can you imagine how he may treat you if you're only spending 5 or 10 bucks? So if you like good customer service (or just decent customer service) with your food, this is definitely not what you desire!!

THIS PLACE IS NASTY!!!!!!!!!! My wife and I tried to eat there tonight but a roach came out with our food! It crawled out from under my plate about a third of the way through the meal! So we will not be back.

Last night we ate at Costa's and it was the most wonderful food ever, the whole place has been redone since the last time I went in, new carpet, a whole new look, it was so clean and nice. The food was to die for, and the portions were huge, we took home more than we ate, it was definitely a good value. We have reservations this weekend and I can't wait to go back.

Costa's is one of my absolute favorite places to eat! My kids and I eat there at least once a week... the lasagna and baked spaghetti are the best I've ever put in my mouth! Our waitress knows us by name and always takes good care of us. The kids eat free and the prices aren't bad for the huge portion sizes. We pick up food to go quite often, especially when we are having company and I don't feel like cooking! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who loves Greek and Italian food! You won't find any better!

I have found a new favorite! I had heard of Costa's many times before but had never actually stopped by to try it. I finally did, and I am hooked. Their salads are fresh and wonderful, and their homemade Ranch is to die for, I could drink it with a straw! The spaghetti was awesome and can't be beat. I will definitely be back again. And again. And again. And again!
