Tickets For Stitt Book Event

This just in from the Alabama Booksmith in Homewood:

Ever since word got out that Frank Stitt's new book is coming out, we have been inundated with demands for tickets. OK! TICKETS GO ON SALE TODAY! Don't miss out. The last reception and show was a hard sell-out and this one will be even stronger - and at the same price as the one in 2004. Here's the complete deal: Frank Stitt's new book is "Bottega Favorita: A Southern Chef's Love Affair with Italian Food." It features the story of, and delicious recipes from, Frank's magnificent Bottega Restaurant. The introduction was written by Warren St. John.

"Frank Stitt's Southern Table" is the biggest selling book in the history of our store and we anticipate this stunning new treasure will top that. You're invited to join in the festivities at The Alys Stephens Center. Tickets are only $65 and include a first edition of the book signed by Frank and Warren, a delightful show with Warren showing off his New York Times reporting skills interviewing Frank - and - the chef will put on a few preparation demonstrations, as well as share cooking secrets with the audience. Immediately following the show, all ticket holders will be guests for wine and a sampling of recipes from the book.

The event will be Sunday, Nov. 30, 3 p.m. To order by phone call (205) 975-2787, or buy online at http://purchase.tickets.com/buy/TicketPurchase?organ_val=2706 (this site may be accessed around noon today)

(If you can't make the event, pre-order your copy using the link at left; you'll be helping to support Bhamdining.com, as we get a small percentage of the proceeds from each book ordered through our site.)
