My friend and I stopped here Saturday to sample the "Best Ribs in Bham". The ribs were, IMO, just ok. The pork plate had very greasy pork. The beans and sauce were good. I really liked the fried corn. Bottom line - there is better BBQ out there. Tin Top and Green Top remain my favorites.

Maybe Joe came at a bad time, but Big Daddy's has not only the best ribs, but the best bbq ANYWHERE!!! The ribs are fall off the bone tender, the pork is fresh, the sauce is EXCELLENT and so are the sides. I haven't had anything bad, yet. People can be very picky and have their preferences, but overall, I don't think you can find better bbq in the Birmingham area. By the way, the desserts are all homemade and absolutely DELICIOUS!

We have been to Big Daddy's several times now. The first time was definitely the best. We haven't had the same luck since. The last time we went (a Saturday night) there was a 45 minute wait, and we simply left. Another time I took my son there (after loving my first experience with Big Daddy's ribs). He received a very nasty pile of rib "ends" that were dried out and chock full of cartilage. I was truly embarrassed to have taken him that evening. The pulled pork is nothing extraordinary (I prefer Jim N Nick's pulled pork). The desserts are good, and I have to admit, that deep fried corn is "special". I hope success isn't ruining Big Daddy's.
